The Pizza Hut driver had just delivered to a home in the 1600 block of Maxen Drive and was returning to his car about 8 p.m. when he was approached from behind by an unknown man.
The robber put a gun to the driver’s head and demanded cash and the worker’s cell phone. He took $50 and the phone and fled the neighborhood, located south of Vernon Odom Boulevard, police said.

AKRON: A man whose vehicle was struck by another car Saturday afternoon wound up being robbed at gunpoint by two masked men.
The 68-year-old man was driving on Vernon Odom Boulevard about 2 p.m. when his vehicle was struck, causing minor damage. The driver of the other vehicle then flagged the man into a parking lot. As the man drove into the lot, two masked men inside the other vehicle got out, drew handguns and demanded money.
Police say the culprits took $800, then fled toward Romig Road. The victim was not injured.
Police say the suspects are two Middle Eastern men in their 20s. One was about 6 feet tall with a thin build and yellow shirt. The other was about 5-foot-5 with a heavy build and a white T-shirt. Both wore jeans and white shoes.
